FEATURE FILMS
Errol Webber THE KING OF TRASH (USA. 72 minutes)
Fifty years after the fall of Saigon, a Vietnamese-American family reflects on their emotional journey as “Boat People,” leaving Vietnam to build a new life abroad. The Duong family shares heartfelt memories of their challenging departure, navigating uncertain waters in search of opportunity and safety in America.
Juan Bernal EN MI MUNDO EL RARO ERES TU (Spain, 76 minutes)
The Association for Rare Diseases of Castile and León was founded in Salamanca in 2014 with the aim of reaching out to those affected by rare or undiagnosed diseases and their families, and whose purpose is to defend their rights and needs.
Zion Matovu UMUGANDA (Rwanda, 58 minutes)
The film is an observational, essayistic work that follows Rwanda’s unique tradition of Umuganda — a monthly day of collective community labor rooted in the 11th century and still practiced nationwide today. Filmed with close, intimate imagery and archival material, the documentary observes a living social philosophy that exists nowhere else in the world.
