For Filmmakers by Filmmakers
The NewFilmmakers Series began in 1998 and over the past twenty-one years has screened over 1000 feature and 4,000 short films. In 2000 we brought the Havana Film Festival to New York and in 2002 we started NewFilmmakers Los Angeles. Our YoungFilmmakers & AltFest Series screen monthly. Many well-known shorts and features including Blair Witch and Too Much Sleep have had their initial screenings at NewFilmmakers.

NewFilmmakers New York is run by a small group of volunteers.
Barney
Oldfield
Barney is General Manager of Angelika Entertainment and Board Member of Anthology Film Archives. He started NewFilmmakers New York and Los Angeles.
Brandon Ruckdashel
Program Director
Brandon is a filmmaker and actor who hails from Minnesota. He started out with NewFilmmakers doing marketing and now oversees programming and filmmaker deliverables.

Woods
Host
Bill has been with NewFilmmakers almost as long as it has been around. He is the host of our weekly programs.
